from dawn to dusk
Accompanied by the tenor Paco Garcia, we tell you, through the lines of Shakespear, Petrarque, and opera arias, the story of a man who is looking for love.
The concert will take the shape of one big piece where sonatas movements are combined with singing and poetic declamation, following the sun’s course, from dawn to dusk.
CARNETS DE VOYAGE
In 1737, G. Ph. Telemann (1681-1767) leaves Hamburg for Paris on invitation of prestigious French musicians. During this journey of almost 1000 kilometres, Telemann must have made multiple stops, some of them probably in the territories that we know today as Belgium, at the time the Low Countries. In this program, we mix together the music that he could have heard in Liège, Brussels or Antwerp with Telemann’s own compositions.
